Peraway Marble (Aust) Pty Ltd
Peraway Marble (Aust) P/L was established in 1978, by it’s founder and currently active director, Antonio Guzzardi. He migrated to Australia from Italy in the 1950’s and continued his trade of a Terrazzo polisher. Terrazzo gradually died down in the early 1970’s , and it was at this point. that Antonio devoted his efforts and skills towards marble and granite, with his transition being seamless from working with terrazzo to working with natural stone, as the majority of the processes being identical.

We import, trade, supply and also hold large amount of stocks of several stones to meet the increasing demands of our customers and the changing tastes of Australia. Our wide range of stones includes:
We are also one of the very few onyx suppliers in Australia and that is why our customers appreciate our wide and un-matched range of stones. Onyx is naturally formed of bands of chalcedony in varying colours. It is cryptocrystalline and consists of intergrowths of quartz, silica and moganite. The bands are parallel to each other as compared to the more complex layering in agates. The most naturally occurring onyx is in black colour. It is comparatively harder than limestone or marble, with a hardness rating of 6.5 – 7 on the Moh’s Scale. Onyx is identified as having a waxy lustre and is smooth.
Marble and Granite
This natural stone is best suited for commercial use. Even if it is used for house interiors, it does not have many disadvantages if used to its proper strengths. As it is a soft stone, it may need to be taken extra care of, to prevent it from getting marked, scratched or stained. Onyx is best for bathrooms, showers and tiles, although due to its extra vibrant colours, your flooring will appear complex and nauseating. If you prefer onyx floor tiling, then having an angular house will be beneficial because the edged walls will cut through the vibrant colours of onyx.
Onyx is stepping ahead in the list of preference from granite and marble because of its luxury nature and impeccable designs. Onyx is at its best when showcased under a beam of light or lit from back. Onyx gives you the opportunity to be creative with your furniture. Onyx comes in a variety of colours that include:
- White Jad Green Onyx
- White and Green Onyx
- Green Venato Onyx
- Onyx Honey Soft
- Travertine Onyx
- White Onyx
- Light Green
- Wooden & more
